One of HETA's current projects is to raise money to build a community centre in Laulora village on the outskirts of Dili, the capital of East Timor
This community centre will provide a place for the villagers to hold meetings, training programmes and wedding and birthday celebrations instead of under a tree as presently happens. The centre will include a pre-school to help prepare the children for school and a medical clinic. It will make a huge difference in the life of the village.
HETA Trust is registered with NZAID as an NGO (non-governmental organization). When we raise money for East Timor the NZ Govt provides matching funding for approved projects
So cut to the chase, how can I help?
We are regularly running fundraising events to raise another money to complete East Timor projects. Our recent Book Sale raised over $7000 and we intend to continue to improve on this as there is still a community centre to build and schools still in desperate need. We have raised a small part of the money for the Community Centre but much more is still needed. Get involved with these charity events, provide books for HETA book sales or Treasures for the HETA treasure sales (Trinkets, Knick-knacks etc)
If you don't live in our area , then any donation you could make to our work in East timor could make a huge difference in young lives.

We also offer sponsorships of children in East Timor. The cost of sponsorship for a Year is (NZ) $75 dollars
This pays for one East Timor child to get an education. We can guarantee that this is where the money goes as our team oversee the paying of the school costs for each individual child directly to the East Timor school.
