HETA Giant Book Sale - Success

I think everyone involved in the book sale would agree that it was a great success. The official counter figured over 1700 banana boxes were donated. Over $7000 dollars was raised for the people of East Timor. HETA would like to thank Kingsway School, Orewa for a great venue , especially Ken Brown and the kids from Kingsway that helped, Technologix in Whangaparaoa for storage of the books, and the following businesses and organisations for considerable donations and help. Bayes Coachlines, Dairy Flat , TimesFM Radio in Orewa, Hibiscuslink, Eventfinder, Bookmark Takapuna, Whitcoulls Browns Bay and Whangaparaoa, New Holland Publishing, Wheelers Books (Birkenhead), Beckett Books, Dymocks, NetLink, Random House, Lumiere Videos , Royal NZ Navy Library - Devonport, Rotary Club Orewa and Northcote, Lions Club of Whangaparaoa, Salvation Army Whangaparaoa, Hospice Whangaparaoa, Drury Playcentre, Gordon and Gotch, St Stephens Church Takapuna, and the members of Whangaparaoa Baptist Church, Gateway Church Red Beach and the other schools and churches and websites of Hibiscus Coast. and any others that helped and I haven't mentioned, a HUGE thankyou on behalf of the children of East Timor.

Massive book sale to raise funds for community projects in East Timor including a community centre to be built in Laulora Village in East Timor

This community centre will incorporate a place of gathering in the village for community events, a much needed pre school, and medical rooms. This is one of the poorest countries in the world. HETA is making a difference. So can you !
